Guideline for Presentation

A. Oral Presentation
1. Speakers should deliver a copy of their presentation
on a USB flash drive to the staff at the onsite registration desk well in
advance of their presentation time. Morning
(before lunch time) presentations should be submitted by 17:00 on the day
before the presentation, and afternoon (after lunch time) presentations by
12:00 on the presentation day.

convention: Session number-Oral number_family name.ppt. You may find
gSession number-Oral numberh in the program posted on the ISAR-3
website (http://www.jcar.org/isar-3/ISAR3_program.pdf).
(e.g., G3-O3_Jackson.ppt).
3. Speakers will not be allowed to load
presentations directly onto in-session computers.
4. All presentations must be compatible with Microsoft
PowerPoint 2003 on the Windows PC platform (Macintosh not supported,
sorry).
5. Keynote presentations are scheduled in
30-minute blocks allowing for a 24-minute talk, followed by a 5-minute question
and answer period, and 1-minute for switch with next speaker. The moderator
will notify you when your presentation reaches 21, 24 and 29 minutes.
6. Basically, invited speaker presentations are
scheduled in 20-minute blocks allowing for a 14-minute talk, followed by a 5-minute
question and answer period, and 1-minute for switch with next speaker. The
moderator will notify you when your presentation reaches 11, 14 and 19 minutes.
7. General oral presentations are scheduled in
15-minute blocks allowing for a 11-minute talk, followed by a 3-minute question
and answer period, and 1-minute for switch with next speaker. The moderator
will notify you when your presentation reaches 8, 11 and 14 minutes.
8. If your presentation includes video files
(avi, mpeg/mpg, wmv, asf), they will not work if they have not been copied onto
the presentation laptop computer. Therefore, please ensure to submit copies of
the videos when you submit your presentation.
9.Please be ready for presentation by moving to the seat at the front part of the room during the presentation ahead.
B. Poster Presentation
1. Poster
size: The poster should fit the size of poster board provided (90 cm wide X@210 cm high).
2. Authors
are responsible for setting up and removing their poster. Materials (pins or
tapes) for hanging your poster will be provided in the room of poster
presentation. The number plate is on the
poster board. You may find your number from the program posted on the ISAR-3
website: http://www.jcar.org/isar-3/ISAR3_program.pdf
3. Poster
presenters are expected to present in front of their poster boards during the
core presentation time specified below, and you may also find in the program at
ISAR-3 website (http://www.jcar.org/isar-3/ISAR3_program.pdf).

4. Posters
should be set up from 9:30 and should be removed by 17:00 each day your poster
presentation designated.
